Crieve Hall Girls Softball serves girls ages 4-13. Girls are placed in divisions based on their age as of Jan 1st of the year they are playing.
Games begin in April. Games are typically held on Tuesday & Thursday nights and Saturday all day. Weather pending.
Spring age groups are 6u, 8u, 10u & 13u. Each division will play games against CHGS teams and with other local leagues as part of their schedule.
Farm League (4-6 year old) - This league is an intro to all things girls softball. Coaches pitch and batters also hit off the tee after 3 strikes. Girls learn all facets of the game; fielding , throwing, hitting and game play. It’s a great way to start off in fastpitch softball.
Rookie League (7-8 year old)- This league begins to prepare girls for kid pitch. Coaches pitch and the girls can strike out. Girls begin to catch the ball better, understand outs, and hit the ball harder. 10 girls play in the field each inning and all girls bat in the line up.
Junior League (9-10 year old)- This is our youngest kid pitch division. All girls bat, only 10 girls play in the field at a time.
Senior League (11-13 year old)- This is one of our strongest leagues when it comes to understanding the game and making plays. All girls bat, but only 9 play in the field at a time. This league begins spring game play after the local Middle School seasons are over.
